“Big Mouth”: “The possibility of a season 2? It’s still too early to tell…Thank you for your love”

After “Big Mouth” successfully reached its final episode, the production team spoke about the possibility of season 2.

MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “Big Mouth” (written by Kim Ha-ram, directed by Oh Choong-hwan) ended successfully with its highest ratings of 13.7% (based on Nielsen Korea nationwide) in the 16th episode (last episode), which aired on Sep 17th. In a related development, an insider from “Big Mouth” production company told OSEN on Sep 18th, “All the production staff have prepared hard to make such an interesting drama. Thank you for loving us until the end.”

Since the 6th episode, “Big Mouth” has been surrounded by popularity with a viewer rating of around 10%. Regarding the favorable reviews surrounding the work, a production company insider stressed, “The actors, directors, writers, staff, and production staff are all happy and grateful for the excessive love of the viewers.”

Above all, expectations for season 2 of the series are high. An insider from the production company of “Big Mouth” said, “It seems that it is still too early to talk about season 2 of a work that ended today.” However, they left the possibility open, saying, “We will try to meet the audience again with a good work.” 

“Big Mouth” is a drama that tells the story of a lawyer with a winning rate of 10% accidentally being caught in a murder case and becoming the genius fraudster “Big Mouse” overnight before digging into the ugly truth related to the privileged class to survive and protect his family. Actors Lee Jong-seok, Lim Yoon-ah, Kim Joo-heon, Ok Ja-Yeon, and Yang Kyung-won are showered with positive reviews after the show went on air.
