BewhY made a sharp response to comments about Crush’s racism controversy, “So what? What the f**k are you talking about?”

An unexpected update on BewhY (real name Lee Byung-yoon), who is serving in the military, was recently reported.

Earlier on October 9th, singer Crush performed at the 2022 Someday Pleroma Festival held at Yonsei University’s open-air theater. While singing “Beautiful”, Crush tried to communicate with the audience who came to watch the festival by holding hands and doing high fives with people who reached out their hands in the standing area.

Later, a black audience who failed to get a high five from Crush posted a video on Twitter and said, “He refused to touch my hand because I had dark skin. He touched the hands of all the audience next to me. He only skipped and ignored me. This is blatant discrimination”, expressing her anger.

As the controversy intensified, overseas netizens poured out malicious comments on the SNS post Crush released on Oct 9th. Despite the seriousness of the controversy, BewhY left the comment  “It’s Damn so funky” in Crush’s post about his SBS’s “Inkigayo” stage.

Foreign netizens replied to BewhY’s comment, saying “Crush is a racist. I hope you don’t like him anymore”, “Don’t you know that Crush is such a racist?”, etc. BewhY then drew keen attention as he directly responded, “What do you want me to do? What the f**k are you talking about?”.

BewhY entered the training camp in August last year to receive basic military training. After then, he has been fulfilling his military service duty as a maritime police officer. The male rapper is scheduled to be discharged on April 22nd, 2023.

In October last year, he married a non-celebrity after 8 years of dating. No information about his wife has been revealed.
