American songwriter Bekuh Boom best known for co-writing several of BLACKPINK’s biggest tracks such as “Boombayah,” “Whistle,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” “Kill This Love,” and “Pretty Savage” has resurfaced with additional claims regarding her past experiences in the K-pop industry.
Earlier this year, she publicly accused a company widely believed by fans to be YG Entertainment of exploiting her during her early career. According to her statements, she was promised a record deal at 18 years old that took years to materialize, while also enduring verbal abuse and extreme pressure, including being told at one point to terminate a pregnancy.

In a newly shared video, Boom elaborated further on her experiences, stating that the situation worsened significantly while she was working on BLACKPINK’s track “Typa Girl.” She recalled a moment in the studio when someone allegedly told her she was hired because she “accepted less,” implying she was undervalued compared to others. She added that a collaborator she frequently worked with in the past had previously helped ease tensions in similar situations.
Boom also claimed she had no prior knowledge of the release of Lisa’s solo track “Money,” despite her involvement, and alleged that the financial distribution did not favor her.
The discussion intensified in the comment section of her video. When one user suggested she could collaborate directly with Lisa now, Boom responded that none of “them” were willing to support or acknowledge her, adding that “they were all in on it.”
Additionally, she appeared to engage with another comment suggesting that the members should have defended her, further fueling speculation among fans that the artists themselves may have been aware of the alleged mistreatment.
Online reactions have been mixed but largely supportive of Boom, with many users revisiting BLACKPINK’s recent releases and noting her absence from the credits.
