BDSM rom-com “Love & Leashes” creates a stir with its hot scenes, but some reviews say it’s “too childish”

Netflix’s latest Korean film “Love & Leashes” is receiving a lot of attention.

“Love & Leashes” starring Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun and Lee Jun Young has been released. Speaking about the film, a representative of Netflix said:

“This year, we’re aiming to introduce content in a variety of genres that make viewers say, ‘Netflix makes this too?’ We worked with Korean creators to produce Love and Leashes with that in mind”.

Prior to its broadcast, “Love & Leashes” attracted attention with its storyline centering on BDSM. The film was expected to include many hot and steamy scenes between the two leads. However, after watching “Love & Leashes“, some viewers left unfavorable reviews such as: “The idea is good, but how it is portrayed is like a children’s movie”, “The acting did not convince me”, “Squid Game also had a lot of negative reviews at first. Let’s wait and see”, “I find the film a bit disappointing“.

Previously, Seohyun talked about the reason why she decided to star in “Love & Leashes”, “The script is new. What many actors dream of is being able to play different characters and show different sides of ourselves, not repeating what we did before. As an actor, I also hope to try a variety of characters. The story of “Love & Leashes” made me want to challenge myself. I chose it because I believed I could learn a lot while filming.”
