BamBam replies to a Morocco local asking if he’s Chinese, “Korea… Ah no, I’m from Thailand”

Singer BamBam mistook his nationality.

Episode 2 of tvN’s variety show “Business Genius Baeksajang”, which aired on April 9th, showed BamBam helping chef Baek Jong Won challenge opening a restaurant in Morocco, Africa where people are not familiar with Korean food.

On his way to pick up meat, BamBam greeted people passing by him with friendly expressions, making him look like a local. Then suddenly, someone approached and said, “China?”, asking about BamBam’s nationality.

BamBam naturally replied, “Korea”, although he’s actually Thai. After a while, he realized his mistake and belatedly recalled his nationality, saying “Ah no, I’m from Thailand”, drawing laughter.

Born in 1997 with Thai nationality, BamBam debuted as a member of the Korean boy group GOT7 in 2014. He is currently 27 years old in Korean age.
