Bae Sung-jae Spills the Tea on Park Ji-sung and Kim Min-ji’s Romance: Even Parked Separately, but Still Caught Dating?
On June 9th, SBS’s “My Little Old Boy” aired an episode showcasing the daily life of “Korea’s No.1 Caster,” Bae Sung-jae, who lives a life dedicated to soccer.
Bae Sung-jae, who once had muscular arms, showed how he started gaining weight in 2018, reaching his highest weight in 2020, displaying a gradual increase in size.
Bae Sung-jae was seen opening a pack of chicken breast according to a diet plan stuck to his refrigerator, and adding various ingredients to make it tastier. He kept refilling side dishes with both hands, showing his enjoyment of the meal.
An Young-mi commented, “Now I know why you’re not losing weight,” and Shin Dong-yup added, “I wish you would take down the diet chart.”
When a senior mentioned, “The Paris Olympic uniform should not be larger than the Hangzhou one,” Bae Sung-jae responded, “I’m losing weight now. Last year, I almost returned to my peak shape from 2012. During the London Olympics, I was between S and M size. I was 74kg then, but now I am around 2XL.”
The senior then said, “I clearly reminded you last year. You have to manage your weight well because you’ll wear it at the Paris Olympics too. Don’t just talk about it, start losing weight quickly,” prompting Bae Sung-jae to commit to his diet.
Trying on the uniforms from the London and Hangzhou Olympics, Bae Sung-jae came across a pile of gift certificates and made a call. The recipient was Park Ji-sung, and the gift certificates were given as a thank you gift for arranging a blind date between Park Ji-sung and Kim Min-ji.
Bae Sung-jae told Park Ji-sung, “I saved these to get a suit tailored when I lost weight to my 2012 size, but I haven’t been able to use them yet,” to which Park Ji-sung replied, “That was 10 years ago. You haven’t lost weight in 10 years?” teasing him.
Bae Sung-jae then asked, “It’s been 10 years since you got married. Was it when you were caught eating chicken that you started dating?” Park Ji-sung and Kim Min-ji responded, “When we met for meals and went home, we parked separately and left separately. But when we met at the place you recommended, we got caught. Did you report us?” they joked.
