Several Korean reporters reveal their selection of “disappointing airport fashion” from various Korean stars.
From departures to fashion events, the second week of July was filled with various events attended by stars. However, according to Korean reporters, it was also a disappointing week as there were no particularly remarkable outfits.
Below are 5 Korean stars who showcased “disappointing airport fashion”, as selected by reporters.
Son Ye Jin
All of the reporters seem to agree that Son Ye Jin’s fashion style does not live up to her beauty, and her most recent airport appearance seems mismatched.
In particular, reporter Kang Nae Ri believes that Son Ye Jin’s combination of a logo-printed bag and silver shoes is excessive. Furthermore, the round-necked tee worn inside the jacket looks too stuffy, she said.
Meanwhile, reporter Gong Young Joo took issue with “the flashy gold buttons, loud bag, and distracting shoes”, while reporter Oh Ji Won mentioned that Son Ye Jin’s black and white outfit overshadowed her innocent charm. “The black and white jacket and heavy eyeliner made her appearance overly strong”, the reporter added.
Lee Chung Ah
As she departed for a fashion event, Lee Chung Ah’s airport outfit was still deemed as “mismatched”.
According to reporter Kang Nae Ri, the mesh skirt that resembles fishnet adds unnecessary burden, and the actress should have chosen a more refined hairstyle rather than following the trend.
Meanwhile, reporter Gong Young Joo found Lee Chung Ah’s “techno warrior-like hairstyle” and sheer skirt “resembling a beehive” too unique. All of these make it hard for them to understand the actress’ concept.
Finally, reporter Oh Ji Won complained about the hair and mesh skirt, claiming that they are “burdensome” and “confusing”.
Jang Won Young (IVE)
Kang Nae Ri started by calling Jang Won Young’s outfit “unifying” due to the white color, only for each item to “individually fall flat”. The reporter also advised the female idol to choose a different skirt.
On the other hand, reporter Gong Young Joo said that compared to Jang Won Young’s usual fashion sense, there aren’t any notable highlights, causing disappointment. They also compared the IVE member’s skirt to an “apron” and called it a “no-go”.
Finally, reporter Oh Ji Won found Jang Won Young’s combination of the ruffled skirt and mesh knit to be “a bit off”, with “scattered holes” adding a sense of tackiness.

Reporter Kang Nae Ri started by lamenting about Karina’s long jacket, especially since it’s the middle of summer. They also point out that its color didn’t match well with the tote bag.
Meanwhile, reporter Gong Young Joo described Karina’s latest airport outfit as “a complete disaster”. “The unnecessarily long jacket and stockings with a pattern resembling oriental drawings make it feel suffocating”, they said.
Reporter Oh Ji Won agreed with her colleague, and brought up “Thom Browne’s long jacket in the scorching heat of 30 degrees” as a minus point. “The item itself has such a strong charisma that it’s not easy to pull off, let alone in the heat”, they said.
Park Gun Il
According to reporter Kang Nae Ri, Park Gun Il’s black shirt, dark denim jeans, and snake-patterned shoes were simply too much, to which Gong Yong Joo agreed, mentioning the loose silhouettes of the clothes.
Meanwhile, Oh Ji Won mentioned the odd shoes and lamented, “Considering that it’s a difficult item to pull off no matter what, the question arises as to why it was matched with denim jeans.”
