Huh Yunjin, also known by her English name Jennifer Huh, is a South Korean-American singer, songwriter, and composer. She is a member of the South Korean girl group LE SSERAFIM, formed by Source Music under HYBE Corporation. Yunjin is known for her powerful vocals, bilingual fluency, and contributions to songwriting within the group.

Early Life and Education

Huh Yunjin was born on October 8, 2001, in Irwon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea. When she was about eight months old, she and her family relocated to the United States, where she was raised in Niskayuna, New York and also lived in California and Illinois during her childhood. She grew up speaking both Korean and English fluently.

Yunjin attended Niskayuna High School, where she performed as a mezzo-soprano in choir and musicals despite having limited formal opera training. Her early musical experiences contributed to her strong vocal foundation. At age 16, she moved to South Korea to pursue a career as a K-pop idol and later enrolled in the Applied Music Department of Hanlim Multi Art School on March 4, 2019. She briefly returned to the U.S. with plans to attend college, but ultimately abandoned them after receiving a debut offer from HYBE.

Career

Pre-Debut and Produce 48 (2018–2021)

In 2018, Yunjin participated as a trainee from Pledis Entertainment on the reality competition series Produce 48. She gained attention for her vocal tone and stage presence but was eliminated in the 11th episode, finishing in 26th place. After this experience, she continued training and refining her skills in preparation for future opportunities.

Debut with LE SSERAFIM (2022–Present)

On August 24, 2021, it was announced that Yunjin had signed with Source Music and was preparing to debut in a new girl group. On April 9, 2022, she was officially revealed as the sixth and final member of LE SSERAFIM. The group debuted on May 2, 2022 with the extended play Fearless. Yunjin serves as a lead vocalist and songwriter, contributing to both group tracks and solo compositions.

Since debut, Yunjin has also released self-produced solo songs, including Raise y_our glass (2022) and others that showcase her songwriting and creative involvement beyond group activities.
