Gawon (가원), born Lee Gawon (이가원) on April 27, 2005, is a Korean-American singer and model best known as a member of the girl group MEOVV under THEBLACKLABEL.

She grew up both in the United States and South Korea, which contributes to her international visual presence and stage charisma. Gawon trained as a K-pop trainee for several years and also worked as a child model before her debut, starring in fashion campaigns and advertisements.

Career

Pre-Debut & Trainee Life

• Gawon was originally a trainee at YG Entertainment for around 5 years before transferring to THEBLACKLABEL in 2021.
• Prior to debut, she was active as a child model, appearing in advertisements for brands such as Adidas and in fashion editorials.
• Her audition song for THEBLACKLABEL was “Teenage Fantasy” by Jorja Smith, showcasing her vocal sensibility early in training.

Gawon was officially revealed as the second member of MEOVV on August 23, 2024, and the group debuted on September 6, 2024, with the digital single “Meow.”

Since debut, MEOVV has continued promoting in both Korean and Japanese markets, gaining attention for their modern visuals, musical diversity, and strong global concept.
