AOA Chan-mi decides to take her mother’s surname, changing her surname from Kim to Lim after 27 years

AOA member Chan-mi has completed the procedure to change her surname.

Chan-mi posted a photo on her Instagram account on April 25th and said, “Do you remember when I said I decided to do everything I want this year?”. She continued, “One of them is changing my name. I had wanted to do this since I was 20, but I put it off with the excuse that I was so busy. I finally did it this year. At the age of 27, I’m finally able to live under my mother’s surname”.

Chan-mi added, “Since it was such a special thing for me, I wanted to share it with you all”. The released photo is the application for the issuance of a resident registration card. In particular, her name has been changed from Kim Chan-mi to Lim Chan-mi.

Chan-mi debuted as a member of AOA in 2012 and became known through the group’s hit songs, such as “Miniskirt”, “Short Hair”, “Like A Cat”, and “Bingle Bangle”. She is active as an actress and recently starred in the movie “Refresh”.
