Tensions have emerged online after “Samsung princess” Annie and fellow ALLDAY PROJECT member Woochan received criticism for their reactions to RIIZE’s participation in the Where You At dance challenge.
According to Sports Donga, the trend began with a dance challenge to Where You At, a newly released song by ALLDAY PROJECT. The challenge took off after Annie and Woochan posted their own video, prompting a surge of fan engagement. Members of RIIZE — Shotaro and Wonbin — also joined the challenge, posting their own clip for fans to enjoy.
Under the RIIZE video, Annie and Woochan reacted simply with a fire emoji (🔥) — a gesture often used online to show support or enthusiasm. But when screenshots of these comments spread across social media, some netizens interpreted the emojis as disrespectful or arrogant, especially given the age hierarchy and the fact that ALLDAY PROJECT debuted after RIIZE.

One commenter wrote, “Why does this look so unpleasant? It feels like they’re acting superior,” while another complained, “Do rappers generally lack basic manners? Leaving comments under a senior group’s video like that — nonsense.” A third said, “Show some respect to people who debuted before you, Woochan.”
However, other voices pushed back against the criticism, pointing out that Woochan has been active in the entertainment industry since 2019, which makes him not so much a “junior” compared to RIIZE members. Many fans also defended the use of emojis as a light, informal way to show support — a common practice in online fan culture that shouldn’t be overanalyzed.

ALLDAY PROJECT is a mixed-gender group with five members: Annie Moon, Youngseo, Jo Woochan, Bailey Sok, and Tarzzan. Among them, Annie attracts particular attention due to her high-profile background: she is a fourth-generation chaebol, the granddaughter of Shinsegae Chairman Lee Myung Hee and the daughter of President Chung Yoo Kyung. Lee Myung Hee is the daughter of Samsung founder Lee Byung Chul — hence Annie’s nickname as the “Samsung princess.”
Despite the controversy, ALLDAY PROJECT has been achieving commercial success since debut. Their track Famous quickly made waves on domestic streaming charts, reaching #9 on Melon’s Top 100 within just six hours of release. The follow-up single Wicked debuted at #63 and climbed to #2 on Vibe’s real‑time trending chart.
The mixed reactions to Annie and Woochan’s simple fire emoji highlight how sensitive fan communities can be to perceived respect and hierarchy online — even when the intent behind a gesture might be positive or casual.
