On June 18, Chinese media outlet 163.com reported that actor Li Xinyue made explosive allegations on Weibo, accusing Angelababy of cheating on Huang Xiaoming during their marriage. According to Li Xinyue, Huang Xiaoming—her former husband and star of New Shanghai Bund was “the most pitiful man in C-ent” for giving Angelababy his all, only to be betrayed.
“They divorced because she shamelessly deceived him during their marriage,” Li Xinyue stated. He further claimed that Angelababy’s affair was an open secret in the entertainment industry, and her rumored partner was an actor she had worked with.
Speculation quickly swirled online, with netizens suspecting that the man Li Xinyue referred to is Deng Lun, the actor who was blacklisted in 2022 for tax evasion. Fans recalled long-standing rumors from 2019, when Angelababy and Deng Lun were allegedly caught having an affair in a car during the filming of My True Friend. According to one claim, the mother of a co-star reportedly witnessed the incident.
It was also rumored that Angelababy paid 8 million yuan (~$1.1 million USD) to paparazzi and the witness’s family to keep the story buried. At the time, Angelababy denied the allegations, and the rumor eventually faded.
