A man who attempted to message and call an idol-turned-actress several times got arrested by the police for stalking.
According to a report by the Seoul Gangnam Police Station on October 6th, they have arrested and are investigating a man in his 30s (A) on charges of stalking, obstructing the execution of official duties, and damaging public goods.
A is accused of sending continuous messages and making phone calls after finding out the victim’s personal contact information that was attached to the windshield of her vehicle near Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It was confirmed that A lives in the same neighborhood as the victim.
A reportedly stated that he attempted to contact the victim without knowing that she was a celebrity at the time of the crime.
A was also revealed to have hit the police who were dispatched for the arrest and damaged the glass of a patrol car.
Meanwhile, the police applied for provisional measures 1,2 and 3 against A to protect the victim of the stalking crime.
