An actress who was cast after swearing coolly at the audition

“Doctor Cha” captivated viewers with laughter and empathy by depicting the dynamic life story of Cha Jeong Suk, a housewife of 20 years who becomes a first-year medical resident.

On June 4th, the drama ended successfully amid favorable reviews. Aside from the four main actors, “Doctor Cha” achieved success thanks to the performances of supporting characters with strong individualities.

Actress Kim Ye Eun, who played Moon Chae Yoon, also showed her presence and left a strong impression on viewers. Moon Chae Yoon, an intern in the family medicine department, is an extreme egoist who is accustomed to putting off what she has to do to others.

She received stinging glare and hatred from viewers due to her spiteful appearance, such as secretly passing on difficult tasks to Cha Jeong Suk (Uhm Jung Hwa).

Kim Ye Eun said that she directly auditioned to participate in “Doctor Cha”.

She recalled, “It was an on-site script audition. They gave me a script filled with swear words, and I swore coolly as I already got mad from the day before.”

Kim Ye Eun confessed, “The director said, ‘You have a lot of anger?’ I remember saying things that I wouldn’t usually be able to say at this time.”

She revealed, “The director told me, ‘I cast you because I want someone whom viewers can’t hate too much. Chae Yoon gets annoyed easily, but her smile is lovely.’
