The drama starring singer-actress Suzy drew attention.
On Jan 17th, Netflix revealed the “28 representative Korean and global series” lineup for 2023. Among them, still cuts of “Doona!” starring Suzy and Yang Se Jong, which is scheduled to be released in the fourth quarter of this year, were also included.

“Doona!” is based on a webtoon of the same name drawn by Min Song Ah. It’s a romantic drama about ordinary college student Lee Won Jun (Yang Se Jong) meeting Lee Doo Na (Suzy), a K-pop idol who retires during her heyday, at a share house. Suzy, who previously succeeded with her acting transformation in Coupang Play’s “Anna”, is expected to convey the strange feeling and excitement of a young woman in her early 20s. Attention is focused on whether “Doona!” will become another lifetime work in Suzy’s acting career.
