The 38th Golden Disc Awards has unveiled nominees in various categories
On December 4th, the Golden Disc Awards opened its official website and introduced nominees for major categories such as the digital and physical Bonsang, rookie awards, etc.
Nominees were selected through evaluation and quantitative assessment of music and albums released from mid-November of 2022 to early November of 2023. Music and albums excluded from consideration during the previous year’s closing period are included in this evaluation.
In the Digital Bonsang category, nominees include (G)I-DLE, aespa, AKMU, FIFTY FIFTY, Heize, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, NCT Dream, NewJeans, StayC, Park Jae-jung, SEVENTEEN-BSS, SEVENTEEN, Woody, Lim Young-woong, BTS’s Jungkook, Jimin, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, and Taeyang.
In the Physical Bonsang category, nominees include (G)I-DLE, aespa, Agust D (BTS’s Suga), ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, EXO, ITZY, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, NCT, NCT127, NCT Dream, ENHYPEN, Stray Kids, TREASURE, TWICE, ZEROBASEONE, SEVENTEEN, Jungkook, and TXT.
The Best New Artist category, a once-in-a-lifetime nomination, was determined by combining the sales of both digital music and physical albums. Nominees include BOYNEXTDOOR, Evnne, FIFTY FIFTY, Plave, RIIZE, Xikers, ZEROBASEONE, Lun8, N.SSign, and Hwang Young-woong.
The 38th Golden Disc Awards will take place on January 6, 2024, at the Jakarta International Stadium in Indonesia. This marks the fifth Golden Disc Awards held outside of Korea, following the 26th in Japan, 27th in Malaysia, 29th in China, and 37th in Thailand.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on JTBC2 and JTBC4.
