All LOONA members reportedly won contract lawsuits and successfully terminated contracts with Blockberry Creative

All 12 members of the girl group LOONA are now free from their former agency Blockberry Creative after the contract lawsuit.

On June 16th, the Seoul High Court’s Civil Division 5 ruled in favor of the remaining five LOONA members who filed injunctions to suspend the effectiveness of their exclusive contracts with Blockberry Creative.

With this ruling, the remaining members HaSeul, YeoJin, Yves, Olivia Hye, and Go Won are now able to part ways with Blockberry and start anew.

The court decided to suspend the effectiveness of LOONA members’ exclusive contracts with Blockberry, pointing out that there was a problem with Blockberry’s transfer of the exclusive contracts to the Japanese agency Universal Japan without written consent from the members.

After Chuu withdrew the group first in November last year, other members, including HeeJin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry, HyunJin, and ViVi, also successfully left Blockberry. Now, the last remaining five members can carry out their activities freely.

Chuu has joined the agency ATRP, while HeeJin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry have joined Modhouse, and HyunJin and ViVi have joined CTDENM (CityD Entertainment & Media). It is expected that the remaining members, who had essentially halted their activities indefinitely, will also be able to start fresh once again.

Chuu joined a new agency called “ATRP”, while HeeJin, Kim Lip, JinSoul and Choerry moved to Modhaus. HyunJin and Vivi are carrying out individual activities after coming under CTDENM. The remaining members, who have halted their activities due to the lawsuit, are expected to make their new start soon.
