RIIZE’s Anton – son of legendary singer/producer Yoon Sang and the beautiful actress Shim Hye Jin, has garnered high expectations even before his debut.
This year, SM Entertainment has attracted significant attention by introducing a new and promising boy group named RIIZE, consisting of 7 handsome members. The most noteworthy member among them is one who comes from a prestigious background. This young man gained fame at the age of 15 thanks to the reputation of his star parents and is often referred to as a swimming prodigy. He is Anton, the eldest son of the legendary singer and producer Yoon Sang, and the beautiful actress Shim Hye Jin.
Anton’s real name is Lee Chan Young, born in 2004 into the family of the renowned singer and producer Yoon Sang, and the former actress Shim Hye Jin. Yoon Sang is known as a singer, genius producer, and a living legend in South Korea. He has produced numerous hit songs for famous artists like DBSK, IU, BoA, Park Hyo Shin, and was the main producer for the girl group Lovelyz.
Yoon Sang married actress Shim Hye Jin in 2002, and they welcomed Anton in 2003, followed by their second son, Lee Jun Young, in 2009. Two years before retiring to focus on her family (around the year 2000), Shim Hye Jin participated in popular TV dramas like “Model,” “Partner,” and “How to Meet the Perfect Neighbor.”
From a young age, Anton was a famous kid in Korea. This was not only because he is the son of a famous couple but also because of his exceptional talent and outstanding visual.
In 2018, Anton appeared on SBS show “Single Wife 2.” It turns out that in that year, Anton was active as a professional youth swimmer in New Jersey, USA.
It’s known that the male idol began swimming at the age of 5 and had consistently won awards since the age of 10. In fact, the Korean media even referred to Anton as a swimming prodigy upon learning that he was among the top 10 teenage swimmers in the United States. Despite his exceptional talent in sports, it was regrettable that in 2020, producer Yoon Sang appeared on the show “Kwak Cine LP Bar” and announced that his son had given up swimming due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “If you permits, I will try my hand at music,” Anton embarked on a new path by expressing this desire to his father.
Not only did Anton excel in the realm of sports, but he also demonstrated artistic talent from an early age. Inheriting musical ability from his father and artistic inclination from his mother, he began dabbling in music production and mastered in playing some instruments like the cello.
In September, Anton will debut as a member of RIIZE, alongside two NCT ex-members, Sungchan and Shotaro, and two well-known SM Rookies, Eunseok and Seunghan. The group has filmed their debut MV in Los Angeles and returned to Korea. Notably, the appearance of this yet-to-officially-debut group at the airport recently created a buzz. Anton has been the most prominent member, all because of his exceptional good looks.
