AKMU released comeback tracklist with the legendary song IU sang at their concert 9 years ago
AKMU (Lee Chan Hyuk & Lee Su Hyun) aroused music fans’ interest by releasing their 4th single tracklist.
On August 14th, YG Entertainment announced, “AKMU’s 4th single ‘Love Lee’, which will be released on the 21st, will have two tracks, including the title song ‘Love Lee’ and the b-side track ‘후라이의 꿈’.”
According to the tracklist released on the same day, Lee Chan Hyuk was named as the composer and lyricist of both tracks. Producers MILLENNIUM, SIHWANG, and ROVIN also joined forces to increase the completeness of the AKMU’s new music releases.
The poster with a sparkling ball in front of the pink building reminds fans of the lively vibe of AKMU music in the past. YG said, “This comeback will be like a ‘lovely gift’ for fans who have been waiting for AKMU for such a long time”.
The title track “Love Lee” is a song with AKMU’s bright and refreshing energy. Combining the last name of Lee Chan Hyuk and Lee Su Hyun with the word “lovely” to create the title “Love Lee”, the song is expected to feature AKMU’s unique music color and witty lyrics.
The second track “Fry’s Dream” was first introduced at AKMU concert on November 22nd, 2014. At that time, Lee Chan Hyuk prepared a live stage as a gift for IU, who visited the concert as a guest. However, it has never been officially released and is considered a legendary song among AKMU fans.
AKMU actually explained the reason they did not release “Fry’s Dream” through “IU’s Pallete” in 2021. They said, “We thought the song already belonged to IU. We gave it to you when you sang it at the concert”. Hearing that, IU said, “But I’ve always thought it’s an AKMU song. Why didn’t you tell me to release it?”.
Having been waiting for the official release of “Fry’s Dream” for 9 years, fans commented, “It’s really a reward for our waiting”, “Wow. I can finally listen to the song now”, “I keep watching IU’s live video. I’m looking forward to the official release”, “We only need to wait until the 21st”, etc.
Meanwhile, AKMU’s 4th single “Love Lee” will be released at 6 p.m. on August 21st.
