On July 18, the couple uploaded a new video titled “Honey, You Said This Was the Maldives of Japan” on their YouTube channel, Ailee‘s Marriage Diary. During their summer vacation on Miyakojima Island in Japan, the two stopped at a popular shabu-shabu restaurant to enjoy a full-course meal.

A playful disagreement began when Choi Si Hun tried to continue their conversation while Ailee was busy taking photos of the food. Feeling ignored, he admitted he was a little disappointed. Ailee quickly defended herself, pointing out that he also sometimes fails to respond when she is talking. Choi Si Hun then jokingly replied that he hoped she would continue to appreciate how talkative he is.

Ailee went on to reveal that her husband’s outgoing personality has become even more obvious since they got married. She recalled having dinner with another married couple the previous evening and mentioning that Choi Si Hun had become much more chatty. According to Ailee, she even nicknamed him “Choi Ajumma,” comparing him to a middle-aged woman who loves to talk, but her friends found it hard to believe.

She added that her friends reacted positively, with one saying it must be nice that both spouses enjoy talking to each other. Another friend reportedly joked that he is usually the one doing all the talking in his own marriage and prefers that arrangement.

Despite teasing her husband, Ailee made it clear that she appreciates his personality. She said he always listens carefully to what she has to say while also sharing plenty of his own thoughts, making their conversations enjoyable.

Choi Si Hun agreed, saying he believes he is a good listener and emphasizing that communication becomes even more important as couples grow older. He remarked that life would be lonely if married couples stopped talking to each other.

Still, Ailee admitted there are times when the endless conversations can be overwhelming. She explained that on days when her husband is in an especially good mood, he talks nonstop from morning until night, and she simply lets him enjoy himself.

Choi Si Hun responded by saying those energetic days are actually quite rare. However, Ailee jokingly disagreed, saying there are days when he talks so much that she barely has time to think. She added that he was never quite this talkative when they were dating.

Ailee married actor and entrepreneur Choi Si Hun, who gained recognition through Netflix’s Single’s Inferno, in April last year. The couple has also shared that they are currently undergoing IVF treatment as they prepare to start a family.
