On the April 9 broadcast of KBS2’s Problem Child in House , Ahn Jae Hyun appeared alongside singer K.Will and revealed his detailed goal of becoming a “20 billion won rich dad.”
He explained that the specific number came from something he read, which stated that earning 10 billion won is enough to live comfortably for life. Building on that idea, he set a higher goal of 20 billion won, aiming not just for stability but also for the ability to support and celebrate others generously. “If I have a lot of money, I can spend it freely when congratulating or comforting people,” he said, even joking that he could give massive wedding gifts when K.Will gets married.
Ahn Jae Hyun also emphasized that he wants to become a building owner, highlighting his long-term financial vision. To achieve this, he has adopted a highly disciplined lifestyle. He shared that he now drives a compact car to avoid lease costs and avoids unnecessary purchases, even steering clear of promotional deals if they are not needed.
His financial habits extend further, as he manages multiple bank accounts for better budgeting and actively studies investment strategies. He mentioned learning about tax-saving accounts, pension funds, and even cryptocurrency, adding that he recently met with financial experts to gain deeper knowledge about managing money for both present and future needs.
The actor also revealed that he runs a jewelry business and carefully manages inventory, storing unsold precious metals. In addition, he shared a surprisingly frugal habit of returning empty bottles for small refunds, explaining that he does it discreetly during the day.
Despite his refined image, Ahn Jae Hyun reflected on his humble upbringing. He recalled moments from his school days when he needed financial assistance for meals and how people questioned his situation because of his appearance. He also revealed that his family did not even have a telephone at one point, though he did not fully realize the extent of their hardship at the time thanks to his parents’ care.
