On July 30, actor Ahn Bo-hyun amused fans with a candid confession during the latest episode of the YouTube show Talk to My Face, released via the channel BOOGLE BOOGLE, where he appeared alongside YoonA to promote their new film Pretty Crazy and was joined by Tiffany Young.
In a light-hearted moment, Tiffany asked Ahn Bo-hyun if it was his first time seeing YoonA since filming. Ahn Bo-hyun replied warmly, “We’ve run into each other here and there at award shows, or by sending coffee trucks to each other’s sets. It’s never awkward, even after a long time.”
The conversation shifted when Tiffany, reviewing Ahn Bo-hyun’s military profile, teased, “You served in 2008, right? We debuted in 2007. So whose girl group photo was on your locker?” Ahn Bo-hyun hesitated, jokingly claimed it might have been Girls’ Generation, only to confess moments later, “Actually, it wasn’t. I didn’t have any girl group photos at all.”
YoonA and Tiffany pretended to be hurt but brushed it off with humor, “It’s okay. After 18 years in this industry, we’ve heard it all.”
Ahn Bo-hyun then acknowledged the group’s tremendous popularity at the time, “Girls’ Generation truly was the top group. I’ve said this on other shows too—when soldiers went on leave, their seniors would ask them to bring back Girls’ Generation CDs.”
Ahn Bo-hyun, known for works like Yumi’s Cells Season 2 and Veteran 2, will star in Pretty Crazy, set to premiere on August 13. The film, directed by Lee Sang-geun, features Ahn Bo-hyun as Gil-goo, an unemployed young man who lands a bizarre part-time job watching over Seon-ji (played by YoonA), a woman who turns into a devil every night.
Breaking away from his typically charismatic roles, Ahn Bo-hyun’s portrayal of a timid and soft-hearted character offers a fresh contrast to his imposing appearance. The film has already become one of the most anticipated releases of the summer, with strong presales placing it just behind My Daughter Is a Zombie in the Korean box office rankings.
Fans are particularly excited to see the quirky chemistry between YoonA and Ahn Bo-hyun on screen in Pretty Crazy.
