After “Woo Young-woo,” Will Park Eun-bin Saved tvN From Flopping Like Namkoong Min Did With MBC?

Will actress Park Eun-bin reach her syndrome-like popularity once again?

Attention is focusing on whether Park Eun-bin will be able to save tvN’s dramas from the current recession, as she used to do with channel ENA’s “Extraordinary Attorney Woo.”

Reportedly Park Eun-bin will return to tvN’s new Saturday and Sunday drama “Castaway Diva” on October 28th. This is the actress’s first work after “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”. “Castaway Diva” is a drama that depicts Seo Mok-ha (Park Eun-bin), an aspiring singer, being rescued from an uninhabited island after 15 years being stuck there.

“Castaway Diva” is considered the most anticipated drama of October because it is Park Eun-bin’s comeback work. Last year, “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” was truly a hit with a maximum viewership of 17% despite being broadcast by a small channel and with an unpopular cast. ENA instantly made its name known, and Park Eun-bin even won the Baeksang Arts Daesang.

In addition, Park Eun-bin will have a drama-face off with Namkoong Min, who is playing the lead role in MBC’s ‘My Dearest 2’. This drama ranked first and second in the Friday-Saturday drama ratings, catching both the ratings and the buzz.

Before the airing of “My Dearest,” Namkoong Min was also asked whether he could save MBC’s dramas from its downward trend. Namkoong Min said he was confident and finally proved it.

Park is facing a similar situation. tvN, where “Castaway Diva” is aired, is currently earning poor ratings with its dramas ‘Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun’ and ‘Twinkling Watermelon.’
