After Jang Ki Yong, Song Hye Kyo to act alongside another younger male co-star, Lee Do Hyun in “The Glory”

Song Hye Kyo and Lee Do Hyun are confirmed to take on leading roles in the upcoming drama by screenwriter Kim Eun Sook.

Song Hye Kyo and Lee Do Hyun have been confirmed to join the cast of The Glory.

Earlier, Lee Do Hyun’s management agency Yuehua Entertainment revealed that he had received an offer for the lead role in the drama.  After 2 months of discussion, Lee Do Hyun made the official decision to work with Song Hye Kyo on this new project. This will mark the first time Lee Do Hyun and Song Hye Kyo co-star in a drama. Many viewers are curious about the chemistry of the two famous actors with a 13-year age gap.

Currently, the two dramas starring Lee Do Hyun and Song Hye Kyo as the main leads are on air. Lee Do Hyun’s Melancholia is tvN’s Wednesday-Thursday drama while Song Hye Kyo’s Now, We Are Breaking Up broadcasts new episodes every Friday and Saturday on SBS. Therefore, the news of the two co-starring in The Glory has attracted much attention from the public.

The Glory depicts the story of a high school student who dreamed of becoming an architect but had to withdraw from school after going through serious school violence. Years later, the perpetrator gets married and has a child. When the child attends elementary school, the former victim becomes their homeroom teacher and sets out on a journey of revenge against the perpetrators and bystanders who once caused her to be miserable.

The Glory is written by screenwriter Kim Eun Sook, who is known for numerous hit dramas such as Descendants of the Sun, Goblin, The Heirs, and more.
