Winter will serve as the promotional ambassador for the 2024 Busan World Table Tennis Championships, which will be held at BEXCO in Busan from February 16 to 25 next year. She is expected to play a leading role in promoting this event and encouraging the representative athletes participating in the championship.
Furthermore, Winter, who was previously appointed as a promotional ambassador, will join actor Im Si-wan in delivering a hopeful message to athletes from around the world with the theme of the 2024 Busan World Table Tennis Championships being “Win For You.”
The song “Win For You,” which was produced with the participation of SM Entertainment’s classical label, SM Classics, features Winter and Im Si-wan’s delicate yet powerful vocals, complemented by the grand and exhilarating orchestral sound of the “SM Classics TOWN Orchestra.” The song is impressive as it incorporates the sound of table tennis balls in the intro, in line with the theme of the table tennis championship. The lyrics convey the spirit of overcoming difficulties and moving forward beyond limits, embodying true sportsmanship.
The 2024 Busan World Table Tennis Championships, which will be held for the first time in Korea, is the most prestigious international table tennis tournament with a total of eight men’s and eight women’s entries for the 2024 Paris Olympics. It is a massive sporting event with the largest number of participating countries in a single sport. For this event, around 2,000 athletes and officials from 40 countries will visit Busan.
