On August 8th, Mnet’s “MY ARTi FILM” unveiled an additional lineup with the participation of aespa’s Karina.
“MY ARTi FILM” is a cinematic performance content where you can see your favorite artist as the main character of a movie. Each episode features different K-pop stars showcasing their performances combined with various genres of acting.
Karina is challenging acting in a noir action movie through “MY ARTi FILM”. She will play a ‘girl crush’ character who confronts an organization’s boss. Expectations are higher for the female idol to showcase a side that fans have never seen on the stage before. Karina shared, “I often enjoy watching noir action movies so it was so interesting to have a chance to experience being the main character in that movie genre”, adding “I hope the viewers like my new image”.
Making her debut as a member of the girl group aespa in 2020, Karina is proving her popularity by expanding her activities to various fields such as advertising and entertainment aside from her main job as a singer.
Gaining attention from K-pop fans with its planning, featuring ONF and The Boyz’s Sunoo, “MY ARTi FILM” will introduce a new episode with the appearance of Julie and Natty from KISS OF LIFE on August 13th. With the news of aespa Karina joining the project, viewers are curious about which other artists will be added to the lineup.
