On July 22, aespa’s Ningning shared a strong message on her Weibo account, directly addressing two accounts that had allegedly posted abusive content about her and her loved ones.
In her post, Ningning wrote: “Prepare to be sued.” She explained that the individuals behind the accounts had been verbally attacking both her fans and her family for an extended period. “These people have been verbally attacking my fans and my family for a long time. I don’t know them at all, and I know you’re still young.”
While encouraging them to behave more responsibly online, she made it clear that she would no longer tolerate similar behavior. “I hope you use the internet in a healthier way. But if I see similar posts again, prepare to be sued.”
This marks the first time since her debut that Ningning has publicly identified alleged malicious commenters and personally warned them of possible legal consequences. Observers believe her decision to speak out reflects the seriousness of the situation, particularly because the attacks had extended beyond herself to include members of her family.
According to Korean media reports, the two Weibo accounts mentioned by Ningning were later permanently suspended for violating the platform’s community guidelines.
The individual behind one of the accounts reportedly issued a public apology through another channel, admitting to posting false information without proper verification and acknowledging that they failed to consider the impact their actions could have on others.
Meanwhile, Ningning and her fellow aespa members recently wrapped up a fan meeting in Japan and are continuing their latest world tour, meeting fans across multiple countries as part of their ongoing global promotions.
