aespa Karina hosts Busan World EXPO presentation video with her fluent English, “You are the future of our planet”
aespa member Karina appeared in the competition presentation video for the 2030 World EXPO in Busan as a host.
Karina appeared as a host in the 4th competition presentation, announcing the opening of EXPO 2030 in Busan at the 172nd BIE General Assembly held in Paris, France on June 20th (local time). President Yoon Suk Yeol, singer Psy, and vocalist Jo Soo Mi attended the event.
Karina made her appearance in the presentation’s opening video, capturing attention with her formal look in a white shirt and black pants. She showed up with aespa’s hit song “Next Level” played as background music.
First, Karina said, “There are desperate calls from our friends who were worried for their villages, their countries, and their future”, adding “How are they going to cope with all that? So dear friends, here, we’ll begin a new journey and your quest to find answers to your future, for our future”.
Karina represented the future generations and hosted the opening with her fluent English.
She then said, “You are the future of our planet, so you can be the judge of all these ideas and tell us which one will work and give us a new and different future. And here are our participants.”
After Karina’s introduction, Psy appeared and delivered a speech. Referring to the growth of K-culture, Psy said, “As a global platform, the 2030 Busan World EXPO will bring together the government, industry experts, scholars, and our citizens from around the world to seek solutions for our development.”
Later, President Yoon Suk Yeol also emphasized in his last speech, saying “The Busan EXPO will be the place where we create new business opportunities”.
Following President Yoon’s speech, Karina reappeared in a closing video. She said, “So we’ve heard from all our participants and the choice of the future of humanity remains with you. Do you think they have what it takes to really solve our problem? The choice is yours!”, and wrapped up the event.
