ADOR & HYBE To Sue NewJeans Malicious Commenters On DC Inside’s Girls Planet Gallery

Both ADOR and HYBE are taking strict legal actions against malicious posts targeting NewJeans on DC Inside

On July 23rd, ADOR released a notice, saying “After collecting all the malicious posts and comments on all channels in Korea and abroad through our monitoring together with valuable information from fans’ reports, we’ve submitted a complaint to the investigative agency”.

The agency continued,As a result of our continual legal response, fines have been confirmed for several defendants in the existing lawsuits. Legal proceedings are ongoing against the remaining defendants. Given that underage members are involved, we will remain vigilant in our monitoring and evidence-collecting processes to hold authors of malicious posts accountable to the fullest extent of the law, regardless of how long it may take”.

In addition, ADOR has identified a community called ‘Girls Planet 999 Gallery’ on DC Inside as a major source of malicious comments against NewJeans.

In an additional statement on the same day, ADOR said, “While making efforts to fight malicious commenters, we received feedback from HYBE’s legal team saying that it is difficult to track some specific haters. As a result, ADOR’s CEO Min Hee-jin has directly requested a meeting with DC Inside’s CEO Kim Yoo-sik to discuss measures to identify and eliminate those malicious commenters”.

They explained, “We found out that there is a hotline for reporting posts and that it can detect malicious comments from users without IDs through cooperation with investigative agencies. This information was explained and confirmed by CEO Kim Yoo-sik. Therefore, we are releasing this notice as a warning to those who commit wrongdoings thinking that their anonymous acts are hard to detect”, adding “We want to make it clear that we are taking all possible measures to protect NewJeans”.

In fact, ‘Girls Planet 999 Gallery’ is full of content defaming NewJeans. Malicious posts criticizing NewJeans members’ nationalities and activities have consistently been made and ADOR is collecting all possible evidence.

ADOR stated, “We have received information about the reporting hotline from HYBE”, adding “We will continue to take legal action against the malicious DC Inside gallery even if it takes time”.  HYBE also responded, “We have consistently used our monitoring system and collected reports from fans to remove malicious comments and posts about HYBE Labels artists on DC Inside”.

Moreover, HYBE also plans to take legal action against other malicious galleries on DC Inside that spread false rumors about their artists.
