Adele Faces Backlash from Korean Fans After Rising Sun Flag Appears at German Concert

Adele began a series of 10 concerts on August 2nd (local time) in Munich, Germany, where the flag was seen.

The concerts have drawn attention for using a 220-meter-long outdoor screen, which is being considered for inclusion in the Guinness World Records.

The organizers previously announced their goal to have the screen recognized as the largest outdoor screen ever used in a concert.

During the first show, the song “Rumor Has It” was performed, and the Rising Sun flag pattern was displayed on the screen as part of the stage background. When this became known, Korean fans reacted with disapproval.

Meanwhile, Adele has been performing weekend shows in Las Vegas, USA since November 2022. She is expected to take a break after her final show in November.
