Actress Kang Soo Yeon was found in a cardiac arrest at her home and urgently hospitalized 

She reportedly visited the hospital earlier due to a headache. 

According to the police, at 5 pm KST on May 5th, actress Kang Soo Yeon was found in cardiac arrest at her home in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. After undergoing CPR, she was urgently transferred to a nearby hospital to receive emergency treatment. Currently, she is still unconscious. 

In the morning of the same day, Kang Soo Yeon reportedly suffered from a headache and was diagnosed with cerebral hemorrhage at the hospital. Her family is said to be considering her surgery at the moment.

Kang Soo Yeon was born in 1966. She debuted as a child actress at the age of 4 and gained popularity with the drama “Diary of a College Student” in 1983. Kang Soo Yeon made history in the Korean film industry by winning Best Actress at the Venice International Film Festival for her role in “The Surrogate Woman,” and at the Moscow Film Festival for her performance in “Come Come Come Upward.” She also served as the co-executive director of the Busan International Film Festival from 2015 to 2017. Kang Soo Yeon recently finished filming for Netflix’s movie “Jung-E”, which is set to release this year.
