Actress and model Moka Fang, wife of Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok, drew attention on the evening of October 22 after sharing a heartfelt message about her husband and their newborn child on social media.

She wrote: “Welcome, my beloved child. Watching my husband hold our baby, his eyes still sparkle with the same joy and tenderness as the first time he became a father. I know our love is pure. Thank you, my love gender has never been a condition of love. Health, happiness, and kindness are the greatest gifts we can give our daughter. Thank you, everyone, for your warm wishes.”

The post immediately went viral across Chinese social media platforms. Many netizens on Weibo interpreted Moka’s message not only as a loving note to her husband but also as a subtle response to recent rumors claiming she was trying to give Aaron Kwok a son.

In recent weeks, Hong Kong tabloids reported that the couple’s third child was a boy. However, Aaron Kwok denied this speculation during his concert in Chengdu, stating,

“Whether we have a son or a daughter is destiny. We’ve never tried to have a child of a specific gender.”

The veteran entertainer also revealed he would be taking a one-month break from work to spend time with his wife and newborn daughter.

Online, fans and the public praised the couple’s progressive views on parenting. Many commended their belief that “love has nothing to do with a child’s gender” and called their attitude “the true mark of confidence and equality in a wealthy family.” Several commenters pointed out that with Aaron Kwok’s financial resources, if he had truly wanted a son, he could have used medical technology to make it happen long ago.

Aaron Kwok, 60, is one of Hong Kong’s most iconic stars. He began his career after joining TVB’s artist training program in 1984 and later rose to fame as both a singer and actor. His filmography includes The Storm Riders, After This Our Exile, Cold War, Project Gutenberg, and The Monkey King. In music, his 1990 album Love You Endlessly sold over a million copies across Asia, cementing his place as one of the “Four Heavenly Kings” of Cantopop.

Kwok married model Moka Fang, 22 years his junior, in 2017. The couple have three daughters, born in 2017, 2019, and 2025. Moka confirmed her third pregnancy in June this year, while Aaron maintained that he didn’t mind whether their child was a boy or a girl emphasizing that “every child is a blessing.”
