A female singer had to receive psychological treatment after being bullied by her colleagues
DR Music said that female singer Leia (Black Swan) is focusing on psychological treatment. Before that, her family confirmed that she was bullied by her fellow members.
On April 10th, DR Music, the management company of girl group Black Swan, updated fans with information about member Leia’s mental health treatment.
In December 2021, after finishing the promotional schedule for the song Close To Me, Leia returned to Brazil to rest for two months. Currently, the female singer has returned to Korea and completed the mandatory self-isolation process.
DR Music said the company planned to prepare for Black Swan‘s upcoming comeback, however, after a few meetings, they realized Leia could not maintain stable mental health.
According to experts, Leia has received regular counseling and received psychological treatment for a long time and strives to maintain a stable mental state. However, after showing signs of improvement, her psychological condition deteriorated significantly.
DR Music decided to give Leia a break to focus on treatment. Therefore, since February, all female singer’s schedules have been postponed or canceled. However, she will still attend the concert held on April 17th with Black Swan.
“We do ask for your understanding and sending a lot of support and love messages for Leia, who is currently undergoing treatment. Also, please refrain from malicious and negative comments to Black Swan. Also, please give lots of support to the members who will be on stage after a long time.”
Previously, in November 2021, a relative of Leia accused her fellow group member Fatou of bullying her. Soon after that, Fatou denied all charges, asserting that Leia often intentionally manipulated others. Moreover, Fatou also acted disrespectfully to Leia and her family.
A week after the incident broke out, DR Music released a statement denying it. “Constructive comments to improve the team should not be considered bullying and causing internal turmoil,” the company asserted.
