Comedian and actress Ahn SunYoung has been struggling since the Itaewon tragedy, causing fans to worry

On November 3rd, Ahn Sun Young posted a photo on her Instagram with the caption, “Please don’t wake up at dawn today. Please fall asleep until the morning.”

The published photo shows Ahn Sun Young with her eyes closed, looking extremely tired as if she didn’t sleep well.

Earlier, on October 29th, a crowd crush tragedy occurred in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and killed over 150 people. The impact of the accident was severe for Ahn Sun Young, who is known to have lived in Itaewon for a long time.

Back on October 31st of last month, Ahn Sun Young published a long post on her SNS to commemorate the deceased.

In particular, the female celebrity revealed that she received a lot of calls from people around her asking if she was safe, and said, “It’s not okay. Itaewon is not okay. (Itaewon) is a place I’ve been going in and out of for 20 years, and it’s my hometown full of precious memories. The alleys of Itaewon are where my family walked together to eat our favorite ice cream, to buy bread, and to eat brunch on the weekends, even though my child has now grown beyond my waist.”

She also added, “I couldn’t sleep for two nights, and watching the increasing number of deaths, I cried and my heart broke. However, while I cooked my child’s food, bathed him, and sent him to school, I laughed as if nothing happened…I’m sorry.”

Afterwards, Ahn Sun Young continued on November 2nd, saying, “Life is hard and sorrowful, with adversity and suffering constantly coming upon us. We have to endure and overcome, overcome and endure, live every day to the best of our ability, run again and move forward with strength. No matter what trials and sorrows that arrive, I hope that you will have energy and strength that is not eroded by sadness.”
