From Song Joong Ki, Lee Jong Suk, to Kim Woo Bin – a crazy K-drama lineup will fill up the second half of 2022

Here are 6 K-dramas to look forward to in the remaining months of 2022. 

The second half of 2022 is expected to be filled with K-dramas from various broadcasting stations and OTT platforms, including some full of famous actors and actresses.

Below is a summary of some of the most high-anticipated K-dramas, expected to hit the small screen in the second half of this year.  

1. One Thousand Won Lawyer

“One Thousand Won Lawyer” is a legal K-drama, in which the talented lawyer Cheo Ji Hoon (played by Nam Goong Min), who only requires a 1,000 won fee, fights against wealthy lawmen and expensive lawyers. The series will star Nam Goong Min, Kim Ji Eun, Choi Dae Hoon, and Lee Deok Hwa.

2. Today’s Webtoon

Adapted from the Japanese manga “Junhan Shuttai!”, the K-drama “Today’s Webtoon” follows the female lead On Ma Eun (played by Kim Se Jeong), who used to be a judo athlete before suffering from a career-ending injury. She then embraces her new life as webtoon editor, while struggling to make it big and work with her fellow colleagues. Kim Se Jeong, Choi Daniel, and Nam Yoon Soo are major members of the cast. 

3. The Good Detective 2

Like its first season, the investigation drama “The Good Detective 2” will continue the journey of model detectives who face the ugly desires of evil people while seeking for the one and only truth. Actors Son Hyun Joo and Jang Seung Jo will be the stars of this new season. 

4. The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate

JTBC’s upcoming drama “The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate” (script by Kim Tae Hee, directed by Jung Dae Yoon) is based on a fantasy web novel of the same name, revolving around Yoon Hyun Woo (Song Joong Ki), a secretary who works for a chaebol family. After being wrongly accused of embezzlement and killed, Yoon Hyun Woo finds himself resurrected in the body of the chaebol family’s youngest son, Jin Do Jun, and begins to seek revenge. 

 5. Big Mouth

MBC’s upcoming drama “Big Mouth”, led by Lee Jong Suk and Yoona, is a story of a third-rate lawyer with a 10% of winning in court. He accidentally gets involved in a murder case and becomes a con artist called “Big Mouse” overnight. He then digs into the true face of the privileged class stained with a huge conspiracy to protect his family. 

6. Black Knight 

“Black Knight” is set in 2071, when it is impossible to live without an oxygen respirator due to extreme air pollution. Here, the legendary knight 5-8 with extraordinary fighting skills meets Sa Wol, a refugee who dreams of becoming a knight, the only hope of refugees. Actors Kim Woo Bin and Esom have confirmed their appearances.
