Singer Yuqi debuted as a member of girl group (G)I-DLE in 2018. She has been receiving attention and love from fans as a sub vocalist and lead dancer.
Yuqi, who is from Beijing, China, has many fans thanks to her bright personality and distinctive cuteness. Especially, she became a hot topic by showing off her fluent Korean skills despite being a foreigner.
As for the reason why she became proficient in Korean after 4 years of living in Korea, Yuqi drew attention by saying, “It’s because of actor Kim Soo-hyun.” Yuqi revealed her special relationship with actor Kim Soo-hyun, “When I was in China, Korean dramas were popular, and I was a fan of ‘My Love from the Star’. I studied Korean while watching ‘My Love from the Star’.”
Yuqi, who showed off her variety show skills as a regular MC for Kakao TV’s web entertainment program “Learn Way Season 1”, recently attracted attention by appearing as a cover model for a fashion magazine.
In addition, (G)I-DLE, to which Yuqi belongs, is meeting fans around the world through their first world tour “2022 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [JUST ME ( )I-DLE]”.
(G)I-DLE wrapped up concerts in 8 cities in the United States successfully, starting with Los Angeles on July 22nd. Following Santiago on August 10th, (G)I-DLE will visit a total of 18 cities including Mexico City, Monterrey, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Tokyo and Singapore to perform.
