On July 24, VARO Entertainment announced, “We are continuously monitoring malicious posts and comments in order to protect Byeon Woo Seok’s rights. For illegal activities such as spreading false information, defamation, and insults, we are continuously collecting evidence and taking legal action through our law firm.”
According to the agency’s update, additional complaints have been filed against 36 malicious posts during the second quarter of this year on charges of insult. The cases involve multiple online communities and social media platforms, including DC Inside, Ruliweb, Ilbe, Nate, Daum Cafe Women’s Generation, X, and TheQoo.
However, the agency did not disclose specific details regarding the ongoing investigations or the identities of the individuals reported, explaining that revealing such information could interfere with the legal process.
VARO Entertainment stated, “We are continuing to conduct regular monitoring of posts and comments related to our artist across various platforms.”
The agency added, “Although not every case may necessarily result in criminal punishment, we will hold those responsible for confirmed illegal acts accountable according to legal principles, regardless of the individual or platform involved. We will not offer leniency or settlements and will pursue these matters until the end.”
