Disney+ has officially announced that Made in Korea Season 2 will premiere in September 2026, unveiling its first teaser poster and pre-teaser trailer that hint at an even bigger struggle for power.
Set nine years after the events of Season 1, the new season follows Baek Ki Tae (played by Hyun Bin) as he pursues greater political power and ambition in a dangerous new chapter of the acclaimed noir drama.
The newly released teaser poster features Baek Ki Tae seated confidently inside an executive office, radiating authority. Although he achieved everything he sought in the Season 1 finale, his expression suggests lingering emptiness beneath his newfound power.

A nameplate reading “Director Baek Ki Tae” appears alongside the striking tagline: “Remember this. We’re doing this for our country for patriotism.” The phrase teases how patriotism may once again be used to justify ruthless political decisions in the upcoming season.
The pre-teaser opens with Baek Ki Tae sitting in the presidential office, declaring: “I’ve waited for this moment for a very long time.” The footage then shifts into fast-paced action sequences, introducing military forces standing against the Korean Central Intelligence Agency and showcasing an intense confrontation between Baek Ki Tae and Baek Ki Hyun (played by Woo Do Hwan). The escalating conflict suggests an all-out battle for political control.
One of the teaser’s biggest surprises comes in its closing moments. Jung Woo Sung’s character, Jang Geon Young, who was defeated by Baek Ki Tae in Season 1, unexpectedly returns. Baek Ki Tae’s stunned reaction hints that the rivalry between the two men is far from over and that an even bloodier power struggle lies ahead.

Director Woo Min Ho, who successfully led the first season, returns to helm the sequel. The ensemble cast includes: Hyun Bin, Jung Woo Sung, Woo Do Hwan, Seo Eun Soo, Won Ji An, Jung Sung Il and Noh Jae Won. The combination of returning stars and new developments is expected to raise the stakes even further.
According to Disney+, Made in Korea became the platform’s most-watched Korean original series of 2025. The series has also been recognized internationally, with TIME naming it one of the most anticipated Korean dramas of 2026, contributing to growing global anticipation for the sequel.
Made in Korea Season 2 will premiere exclusively on Disney+ in September 2026.
