According to an exclusive report by OSEN on July 21, actor Kim Min recently received an offer to join the upcoming series A Man’s Man. After positively reviewing the script, he has decided to appear in the drama.
A Man’s Man follows the story of Han Yoo-hyun, an ordinary office worker who relentlessly pursues success until he rises to become the CEO of a major corporation. After losing everything he holds dear because of his ambition, Han Yoo-hyun is mysteriously sent back to his younger days, where he finds himself taking a job interview once again. Given a second chance at life, he sets out to rewrite his future and make different choices.
The drama is based on the popular web novel of the same name, which was later adapted into a webtoon in 2020. The webtoon became a global hit, amassing more than 470 million cumulative views.
It was previously reported that Park Jung-min has been cast as the lead character, Han Yoo-hyun. Veteran actors Bae Sung-woo and Kim Dae-myung are also expected to join the cast.
For Kim Min, A Man’s Man will mark his first on-screen collaboration with Park Jung-min, making the upcoming project one of the actor’s most anticipated roles to date.
Kim Min has enjoyed a breakout year thanks to his performance as Tae-san, the son of Eom Heung-do (played by Yoo Hae-jin), in the blockbuster historical film The King’s Warden. The film became one of South Korea’s biggest box office successes, attracting 16.91 million moviegoers and ranking as the second highest-grossing Korean film of all time, behind The Admiral: Roaring Currents (Myeongnyang).
He also appeared in the Disney+ original series Gold Land, released in April, further establishing himself as one of Korea’s fastest-rising young actors.
With The King’s Warden, Gold Land, and now A Man’s Man, Kim Min continues to build an impressive lineup of projects, raising expectations for what he’ll bring to his latest role.
A Man’s Man will be directed by Kim Hee-won, who made his directorial debut with the Disney+ series Light Shop. The production is currently in discussions regarding its OTT streaming platform, with further details expected to be announced at a later date.
