HYBE‘s rookie boy group CORTIS has become the center of online debate after videos from the group’s recent concert went viral on international social media, with many praising what appeared to be an energetic mosh pit involving male fans.
Short clips from the concert quickly spread across X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and other social media platforms, particularly among overseas K-pop fans.
Many posts described the performance as refreshing for a K-pop concert, highlighting what appeared to be a lively standing section where male fans enthusiastically formed a mosh pit. Some international users praised CORTIS for creating a concert atmosphere that felt closer to a rock or festival performance than a traditional idol concert.
Following the viral posts, some attendees shared a different account of what happened. According to several online comments, the people seen participating in the mosh pit were allegedly professional dancers positioned within the standing section, rather than regular concertgoers or influencers.
These claims have not been independently verified, but they have fueled criticism across Korean online communities. Many users argued that if the scene had indeed been orchestrated, allowing it to circulate online as an organic fan reaction would be misleading.
Beyond the alleged mosh pit, some attendees also expressed disappointment with the concert itself. Several posts criticized:
