On July 13, actor Jo In-sung attended the Hope VIP premiere at Megabox COEX in Seoul’s Gangnam District. He walked the red carpet in a clean, classic outfit consisting of a white shirt paired with black trousers.
However, it was the waistband of his pants that immediately caught people’s attention. From a distance, the waistband looked as though it had been wrapped with transparent packing tape. The detail was not actual tape but part of the design of Maison Margiela’s “Taped Wool Trousers,” a luxury fashion item reportedly priced at around 5 million won (approximately US$3,600).

The same trousers previously made headlines in April, when actor Park Bo-gum wore them to a brand event. At the time, many online users joked that it looked like tape had been wrapped around his waist, while others praised the bold styling.
Now, with Jo In-sung choosing the same design, the eye-catching fashion piece has once again become a hot topic.

Jo In-sung completed the look by casually rolling up his shirt sleeves and greeting photographers with his signature warm smile. He also posed naturally alongside actress Jung Ho-yeon, creating a relaxed atmosphere on the red carpet.
Meanwhile, Hope tells the story of Beom-seok, the head of a local administrative office near the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), who is told by local young residents that a tiger has appeared in the village. As the entire community is thrown into chaos, he is forced to confront an unbelievable reality.
