Actor Song Jong Ho has finally given fans a glimpse into his life after stepping away from the spotlight. Best known for his appearances in popular Korean dramas, the 51-year-old recently revealed that he has been living a much quieter life while waiting for his next acting project.
On the July 12 episode of SBS’s My Little Old Boy, Song Jong Ho appeared alongside his mother, who candidly shared one of her biggest concerns about her son.

Without hesitation, she admitted that she hopes he will settle down soon. Although he is already 51 years old and deeply loves spending time with his nieces and nephews, she wishes he would get married and have children of his own. However, it wasn’t just his personal life that caught viewers’ attention.
Song Jong Ho has rarely appeared in television dramas since 2023, prompting many fans to wonder where he had been. During the broadcast, cameras followed the actor through his everyday routine, revealing a modest home with simple furnishings that reflected his low-key lifestyle.

The program then showed another side of his daily life operating his own Korean barbecue restaurant. Rather than simply owning the business from behind the scenes, Song Jong Ho takes an active role in its day-to-day operations. He personally welcomes customers, assists around the restaurant, and even works as a valet, parking guests’ vehicles himself. The unexpected sight of a familiar drama star handling valet duties quickly became one of the episode’s biggest talking points.
The restaurant also has a unique atmosphere, as several of the employees working alongside Song Jong Ho are fellow actors. Between serving customers, they openly discuss auditions, upcoming casting opportunities, and the uncertainty that often comes with trying to build a lasting acting career.

Although Song Jong Ho has built an impressive résumé through numerous television dramas over the years, he is currently balancing restaurant management with his hopes of returning to the screen. For now, that means embracing a hands-on lifestyle whether greeting customers at the door or personally parking their cars while waiting for his next acting opportunity.
