Actress Son Na Eun is receiving renewed attention for her performance in SBS’s hit Friday-Saturday drama Agent Kim Reactivated.

Agent Kim Reactivated follows the story of an ordinary father who enters a dangerous underworld to rescue his only daughter in a gripping revenge action drama. Since its premiere on June 26, the series has experienced a rapid rise in popularity.

According to Nielsen Korea, Agent Kim Reactivated recorded a nationwide rating of 15.7% by its second episode. The drama continued its impressive climb, reaching 18.8% for Episode 3 and 21.6% for Episode 4, making it one of the biggest television hits of the year.

The spotlight naturally falls on lead actor So Ji Sub, whose performance anchors the series. However, as the story progresses, Son Na Eun’s character has also become increasingly important.

Son Na Eun plays Jung Sang Ah, an assistant manager at Sangsaeng Savings Bank. In the early episodes, Jung Sang Ah appears to be a typical Gen Z office worker who frequently clashes with the old-fashioned Manager Kim. Trend-conscious and outspoken, she doesn’t hesitate to react to his outdated choices.

One memorable scene features her recommending a luxury T-shirt for Manager Kim’s teenage daughter, showcasing natural office-worker dialogue and playful chemistry that adds lighthearted moments to the drama.

As the story unfolds, however, viewers discover that Jung Sang Ah is far more than an ordinary bank employee. She is secretly an agent working for a special operations bureau tasked with monitoring Manager Kim, revealing an entirely different side of the character.

From that point onward, Son Na Eun’s performance takes on a noticeably different tone. Her cold, focused expressions, quick decision-making, and sharper delivery create greater tension while effectively portraying the contrast between a friendly office colleague and a covert operative.

One of the character’s biggest turning points comes during her confrontation with North Korean operative Park Kang Seong. Forced to point a gun while struggling with her emotions and later facing an opponent armed with a large knife, Jung Sang Ah is given more emotionally complex scenes and physically demanding action sequences that significantly raise the stakes.

For Son Na Eun, Agent Kim Reactivated may become an important opportunity to reshape public opinion about her acting career. She debuted as a member of Apink in 2011 before expanding into acting with projects such as The Great Seer, My Kids Give Me a Headache, and Marrying the Mafia 5.

She later appeared in dramas including Second 20s, Cinderella with Four Knights, The Most Beautiful Goodbye, and the film The Wrath. Although she consistently took on acting projects, her performances often drew mixed reactions and criticism.

In 2023, she gained attention for portraying chaebol heiress Kang Han Na in JTBC’s Agency. While her glamorous appearance and confident character were praised, some viewers remained critical of her facial expressions and vocal delivery.

The following year, she starred in JTBC’s Romance in the House as Byeon Mi Rae, the eldest daughter supporting her family. Many viewers felt she displayed a more restrained and realistic acting style compared to her earlier performances.

Against that backdrop, Jung Sang Ah appears to be one of Son Na Eun’s strongest roles to date. The character allows her to combine her sophisticated image with the lighthearted rhythm of a young office worker before transitioning into the intensity of a secret agent.

Outside of the drama, Son Na Eun has also attracted attention with her recent social media updates. She recently shared photos of herself wearing a black mini dress and an ivory knit two-piece outfit, highlighting her elegant figure, long limbs, and effortlessly slim silhouette.

According to her official profile, Son Na Eun stands 167.9 cm tall and weighs 46 kg. Her disciplined fitness routine and well-maintained physique continue to draw admiration from fans, as reflected in her latest photos.
