DAY6 drummer Dowoon shared an emotional message with fans during the group’s 10th anniversary encore concert, prompting many to interpret his remarks as a response to the recent dating rumors involving YouTuber Yoo Ji Yoo.
The band held its “THE DECADE” encore concerts from July 3–5 at Seoul’s KSPO DOME, celebrating a decade since their debut. During the opening night’s concert, Dowoon reflected on his promise to fans. “When I became a celebrity, I promised that I would only show you my best side, but I feel like I haven’t been able to keep that promise. I’m sorry.”
He went on to reassure fans that his feelings had never changed throughout DAY6's 10-year journey. "But for the past 10 years, my heart has never changed. I truly love all of you. The reason I exist is because I hope to help and give strength to each and every one of you in some way."
Dowoon also reaffirmed his commitment to both DAY6 and the fandom. "We'll be together for life. Please keep watching over us. I'll do my best not to cause trouble for those around me. I love you."
Many fans believe Dowoon’s emotional speech was an indirect response to the dating and marriage rumors that recently linked him to YouTuber Yoo Ji Yoo.
