According to an exclusive YTN Star report on June 25, the two actors recently completed filming for the program, which is Jang Do Yeon’s popular YouTube talk show Salon Drip . They joined the show ahead of the release of Netflix’s new series The East Palace and are expected to discuss the drama, their careers, and various behind-the-scenes stories.
Their joint appearance is already drawing attention because it will give viewers an early look at their chemistry before the series premieres. Netflix’s The East Palace is scheduled to premiere on July 17.
The fantasy series follows Gu Cheon, a man who can move between the human world and the realm of spirits, and Saeng Gang, a palace maid hiding a secret. After being summoned by the king, the pair begin investigating a mysterious curse haunting the East Palace.
Nam Joo Hyuk plays Gu Cheon, who carries out the king’s command, while Roh Yoon Seo portrays Saeng Gang. The project marks the first time the two actors have worked together. The East Palace is also Nam Joo Hyuk’s first acting project following his military discharge. He previously starred in dramas including The Bride of Habaek, The Light in Your Eyes, Start-Up and Twenty-Five Twenty-One.
Roh Yoon Seo has built her career through projects such as Crash Course in Romance, 20th Century Girl and Hear Me: Our Summer. She won Best New Actress in the television category at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards for Crash Course in Romance, followed by the film category award at the 61st ceremony for Hear Me: Our Summer.
The release date for Nam Joo Hyuk and Roh Yoon Seo’s Salon Drip episode has not yet been announced.
