Nam Bo Ra appeared in a video released by the CGN YouTube channel on June 23. During the conversation, she recalled struggling when she first entered the entertainment industry without formal preparation. “The broadcasting environment was unfamiliar, and I did not know how to stand in front of a camera,” she said. “I cried almost every day while filming.”
At the suggestion of her mother, Nam Bo Ra began attending early morning prayers and managed to complete her drama. However, as her acting career became more stable, she gradually distanced herself from church. She later experienced a deep sense of emptiness and depression before facing what she described as another major crisis in her life. “I went back to early morning prayer and often prayed resentfully, asking, ‘Why did you do this?’” she shared.

Although she did not directly identify the event during the latest interview, Nam Bo Ra has previously described the death of her younger brother in 2015 as the most difficult experience of her life.
In a 2022 YouTube appearance, the actress revealed that her brother had not returned home, leading the family to file a missing-person report and track his phone’s location. “I wanted to believe it was not true, but it was,” she recalled at the time. She added that she avoided confronting her emotions because bringing them out felt too painful.

Nam Bo Ra later began volunteering in a disadvantaged neighborhood while still going through a difficult period. She said a phrase written in an alley caught her attention: “You must empty your heart before you can fill it with something new.” After wondering how she could release the emotions she had been holding inside, she noticed volunteers nearby and decided to join them.
The actress has continued participating in charitable activities, explaining that taking action helped her slowly move forward. She also emphasized that while grief can feel lifelong, it is important not to remain trapped in the pain and to find a way to endure it.
