The Black Label, led by CEO Jeong Kyung In, is reportedly preparing to introduce a brand-new boy group next year.
According to industry sources, the company is aiming to debut the group during the first half of 2027. While preparations are already underway, The Black Label has not officially confirmed a specific launch date, emphasizing that the project is being developed with a strong focus on quality and completion.
The upcoming debut comes after The Black Label recently secured approximately KRW 120 billion in Series B funding from Chinese music platform giant Tencent Music Entertainment and South Korean gaming company Krafton. The investment pushed the company’s valuation beyond KRW 1 trillion, officially placing it among Korea’s growing list of unicorn companies.

With its strengthened financial resources and expanding influence in the entertainment industry, anticipation surrounding the agency’s first boy group in years is steadily growing.
The Black Label previously achieved success with the launch of girl group MEOVV in September 2024. The company followed that achievement with the debut of co-ed group ALLDAY PROJECT in June 2025, further solidifying its reputation as a rising powerhouse in idol production.
The agency’s production team has also gained global recognition. Last year, its producers contributed to the soundtrack of Netflix’s animated hit KPop Demon Hunters, helping drive the project’s international success and showcasing the label’s musical capabilities on a worldwide stage.

The Black Label currently houses an impressive roster of artists and actors. Its music division includes stars such as Taeyang, Jeon Somi, Rosé, Vince, and Leejung Lee.
The company’s acting division also features several high-profile names, including Im Si-wan, Park Bo-gum, Lee Jong-won, and Kwak Dong-yeon.
As The Black Label continues its rapid expansion, industry observers are closely watching whether the agency’s upcoming boy group can replicate the success of MEOVV and ALLDAY PROJECT while further strengthening the company’s growing influence in the global entertainment market.
