On June 19, the YouTube channel “ENA” uploaded a video titled “A BJ After a Career Break? Yulhee’s First Honest Confession.”
During the interview, Yulhee addressed the label “female cam streamer,” a term often used online to describe women who host live broadcasts.
“I do live streaming, and viewers and fans would ask, ‘Wouldn’t people who broadcast like this be called female streamers?’” Yulhee explained. “I simply replied, ‘Well, I’m a woman, so I guess that makes me a female streamer.’ Then headlines came out saying, ‘Yulhee switches careers to become a female cam streamer.’ Because there are a lot of stereotypes associated with that term, people started viewing me through that lens.”
She clarified that her broadcasts are mainly focused on interacting with viewers.
“My content is mostly about communication,” she said. “I chat with viewers, and lately I’ve been playing older games with fans.”
Yulhee also revealed how much time she spends streaming.
“I usually stream for seven to eight hours at a time. The longest stream I’ve done was 30 hours,” she said. “I just sit in front of the camera, eat snacks, have meals, brush my teeth, and sometimes even doze off for five minutes.”
Contrary to her expectations, Yulhee said she did not experience much negativity from viewers.
“I was actually the one with strong preconceptions,” she admitted. “I thought about doing this for two years before I started. In reality, there were many people cheering me on, and fans who hadn’t seen me in a long time were happy to see me again. I didn’t really feel those stereotypes until the articles came out.”

Yulhee also spoke candidly about the difficult period she experienced after divorcing F.T. Island member Choi Min-hwan.
“After the divorce, my career came to a complete halt,” she said. “I became someone who stayed inside all the time. Even before, I didn’t go out much, but then I completely cut myself off. I barely checked my messages and isolated myself even more.”
She recalled that her agency’s CEO eventually suggested she seek professional help.
“My company’s CEO carefully asked if I would consider counseling,” Yulhee shared. “I didn’t even realize how serious my condition had become.”
She then revealed the extent of her mental health struggles.
“I was dealing with severe depression, anxiety, and social phobia,” she said honestly.
