Female celebrities have once again found themselves dealing with pregnancy rumors based on nothing more than speculation, forcing them to repeatedly clarify false claims.
Actress Shin Min-ah recently became the subject of another unconfirmed pregnancy rumor. On June 15, she appeared in public for the first time in a while while attending the VIP premiere of the film The Eyes. Shortly afterward, online posts began circulating, speculating that she might be pregnant based solely on perceived changes in her appearance.

This is not the first time Shin Min-ah has faced such rumors. In November last year, she encountered a similar controversy while attending an event in Hong Kong. At the time, with her wedding to actor Kim Woo-bin reportedly just a month away, some internet users speculated about a “premarital pregnancy” after she appeared wearing a loose-fitting outfit. Her agency, AM Entertainment, quickly dismissed the claims, stating that they were “not true.”
Actress Gong Hyo-jin has also expressed frustration over persistent pregnancy rumors following her marriage. In October of last year, she uploaded a photo of herself wearing a dress with her hands behind her back. Some online users pointed to perceived changes in her physique and began speculating that she was pregnant. As the rumors rapidly spread, Gong Hyo-jin’s agency promptly stepped in, stating that the pregnancy rumors were completely unfounded.

Later, during interviews promoting the film The People Upstairs at the end of last year, Gong Hyo-jin was asked about the rumors. She responded with humor, saying, “At first, I thought it was a very personal matter, but I realize I would probably ask the same thing when a close friend gets married. I guess people are just excited and hopeful about it, so I’m trying to live up to that expectation.”
Singer HyunA, formerly of the group 4Minute, also became the target of pregnancy speculation. After marrying singer Yong Jun-hyung in October 2024, she repeatedly faced rumors due to changes in her appearance. However, all of those claims were proven false.

Because HyunA had maintained a notably slim figure since her debut, some netizens interpreted her post-marriage weight gain as a sign of pregnancy. Her agency later clarified the situation, explaining that she had been exercising regularly to manage her health and was also busy preparing for new music projects.
