On May 18, BIGHIT MUSIC officially announced, “BTS will hold a large-scale citywide festival in Busan to commemorate their debut anniversary.”
BTS is scheduled to host BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN BUSAN on June 12 and 13. Alongside the concerts, the group plans to launch a large-scale THE CITY project that will fill Busan with BTS’s music, storytelling, and symbolic universe, raising anticipation among fans worldwide.
The project, titled BTS THE CITY ARIRANG – BUSAN, is expected to become a cultural festival that both Busan citizens and tourists can enjoy together.
This marks BTS’s return to Busan for a special “Homecoming” celebration for the first time in four years since the group’s 2022 concert supporting Busan’s bid to host the 2030 World Expo.
Planned with the cooperation and support of the Busan Metropolitan Government, the upcoming city project will feature various large-scale attractions across major landmarks in Busan, including a drone light show at Gwangan Bridge and a large light show at the Busan Cinema Center’s Big Roof.

As BTS’s Busan concerts are scheduled around June 13, the group’s official debut anniversary, expectations are growing that the festival will become an especially meaningful celebration for both BTS and fans around the world.
